Just a few minutes from Junction 43 of the A20
Autoroute that runs between Paris and Toulouse.

We are based in the charming rural department of Correze in the Limousin region of France.
The Limousin is unlike most of France as it is hilly but not mountainous and very
green and lush. The local landscape is mostly pasture and woodland, not unlike the Welsh Marches area of the UK around Herefordshire and Shropshire but with much less people and much better weather.

For people who like getting away from it all and enjoy beautiful unspoiled countryside then visiting Correze is for you. If you are a bike or car enthusiast then you will enjoy the deserted well surfaced roads that proliferate here. Thanks to the motorway which looks after the through traffic the local roads are virtually empty which makes it a paradise for any driving or riding enthusiast.

So whether you are looking for a quiet stop off point when travelling on the A20 in one of our B&B rooms or looking to explore the area and stay in the main house or self cater in the gite then come and visit.

Driving or Bike Tours

I have already mentioned that it is simply a pleasure to drive and ride around here. I am developing a road book that people can access when here that can be uploaded on to a GPS or followed using more traditional means which will guide you to some fantastic roads and all you to explore. Apart from just great roads we are working on several themed tours that help you explore local Chateaux, Romanesque Churches, Sites related to the Resistance to name a few. By its very nature this library is growing and new ideas or themes are being worked on.

Summer Evening Markets

In our immediate locality there are three evening markets during the months of July & August. These start around 6 p.m and end when everyone has gone home normally around midnight. The markets are attended by many local producers and you can buy sausages, brochettes, a piece of duck or a nice steak and then they get cooked for you on a big BBQ. These markets have a bar and live music ensuring and excellent evening

Masseret Swimming Lake

We don’t have a pool, and with this man made facility less then 10 minutes up the road you may understand why. The lake is in a lovely location with lots of natural shade, a great playground, well cared for lawns, and importantly a nice sandy beach.
